Known as JLZ, João Luiz is a Music Producer and DJ Born in Brasilia, Brazil. Starting in 2014 he explores and ceaselessly grows his work inside and outside his home country, followed by an extensive ongoing research that highlights his name as a reference for his genre in Brazil and around the world. He is part of a group called WEIRD BAILE, side by side with producers and DJs VHOOR, MU540, RAMEMES and DJ BONEKINHA IRAQUIANA, that creates sounds that puts together a futuristic and dark atmosphere in an astonishing composition. As a Music Producer and DJ he has releases by Team Oneself (MEX), Thump en español (MEX), WILE OUT (USA), International Chrome (BER), Klubikon (HR), Solta (BR), Slum Waves (BR), Rinse France (FR), NAAFI (MEX), Function (BR), Promesses (FR), ZONAexp (BR), AGVA (ARG), Muakk (CO), ALGOL (BR), Swine Daily (SVK), PAYNOMINDTOUS (IT), Tormenta (BR), Salviatek (UY) among others. JLZ dedicates his work and research around Afrobeat to a diversity of percussion present in his productions. He has worked along with artists such as Linn da Quebrada, Mia Badgyal, Jaloo and Tuyo, and also co-produced Baco Exu do Blues last 2 albums, Bluesman and QVVJFA? the last one nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in 2022 and followed by an European Tour that went through Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, France and Ireland. His wide repertoire brings his sets to a mix of eternal hits and hazy sounds that already stated his place and won the public around Brazil and in Europe. Currently he is working on soon to be released original songs and will be touring through Brazil and outside to spread the music during the year that follows.
